You are going to give a talk about holidays. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences).
Remember to say:
- what holidays are the most popular in your country
- what your favourite holiday is and how you celebrate it
- if you prefer to give presents or to get presents, and why
- what your attitude to holidays is
I am going to give a talk about holidays as it is an interesting topic to discuss.
To begin with, I would like to say that holidays are a great way to relax and have a wonderful time with your family and friends.
As for my country, the most popular holidays here are Christmas, Easter and of course New Year. Victory Day, which is celebrated on the ninth of May, is also very important for all citizens of the Russian Federation.
My favourite holiday is New Year because it is a special occasion. I celebrate it with my family. We usually invite guests - our close friends and relatives. My mum cooks a delicious meal for the party. We always make New Year resolutions and set off fireworks.
What about presents, I prefer to give them, because I enjoy making my nearest and dearest happy. I always choose presents very carefully.
All in all, I can say that I love holidays because every holiday is a great time. I wish there were as many festive days as possible.
