I would like to give a talk about keeping pets as it is an interesting topic to discuss.
To begin with, a lot of people keep pets nowadays. They do it for a number of reasons. Firstly, pets are great friends in their everyday life. Pet owners do not feel lonely and they get a lot of positive emotions from their little friends. Moreover, pets can help children and disabled people feel more confident.
I think, that cats and dogs are the most common pets in big cities. The are easy to look after and can be kept in flats. Besides, people can buy all kinds of special food for cats and dogs, so they don`t have to cook for their pets.
However, having a pet is always a great responsibility. You should care about its health, feed it, take it for a walk, play and spend enough time with it.
I cannot imagine my life without pets. I believe that they teach us kindness and responsibility.
