Between и among /amongst — это предлоги места (очень часто).
✔️ Between — это между кем-то двумя или чем-то двумя.
For example:
📌 Between you and me.
Между тобой и мной.
📌 Between the devil and the deep sea.
Между двух огней.
📌 The situation was that they ended up being between the devil and the deep sea.

♠️ Если КТО-ТО МЕЖДУ КЕМ-ТО ДЕЛИТ ЧТО-ТО, то в таком случае лучше подойдёт between. Если КАКАЯ-ТО ГРУППА МЕЖДУ СОБОЙ ДЕЛИТ ЧТО-ТО, то лучше использовать among.
