Everything that falls from the sky is rain”: Drone attack hits central Moscow The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that three drones were shot down over Moscow on Sunday morning (7/30), in an attack that caused damage to government buildings and led to the closure of an airport in the Russian capital. Russian news agency Tass reported that a security officer was injured. The third drone was reportedly shot down on the outskirts of Moscow by anti-aircraft defense. The affected part of the city is home to the headquarters of several ministries and a project to build several skyscrapers, which has not yet been completed. "Ukrainian drones attacked us tonight. Facades of two buildings were slightly destroyed," Moscow Mayor Serguei Sobyanin said in a Telegram message. The Russian ministry referred to the incident as an "attempted terrorist attack by the Kiev regime". Ukraine did not claim responsibility for the attack. After the incident, however, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that war was coming to Russia.
