At first, I thought it was a good idea to teach idioms ,but then I realized how hard it is for my students to understand and use them correctly. So for awhile, I stopped teaching idioms. What is the best way to study English, is a question I frequently get asked as a teacher. My response is as follows: Today I would like to talk about serials. We have a wide range of TV series to choose from, we are spoilt for choice.   We can listen in either Russian or English with English subtitles. I would suggest just watching in English the second time after viewing a whole season and being familiar with the story and characters ,writing key words and phrases down.
