This music I wrote is dedicated to all victims of the Neftegorsk earthquake 25 years ago in 28th of May 1995 01:04 local time in township Neftegorsk (Sakhalin Island, Russia) had happened the most terrible and tragic earthquake in post-soviet history which measured 7.6 on the Richter scale. Seventeen five-story panel houses instantly collapsed and most of population had been become buried alive under debris of their own apartment buildings collapsing. On the ruins of several houses, a fire broke out and most of the people who survived under the debris had burned alive. From population of 3197 - 2040 people died and most of them did not even have time to wake up. After all Rescue operations had been completed it was decided to reclamate the Neftegorsk. Nowadays the only things remind about that people used to live there - are a memorial complex and the big cemetery. www.youtube.com/...48s
