Each nation celebrates New Year in its own way. As for the inhabitants of Bali, this holiday is marked by such a tradition as the Day of Silence. New Year's Eve, or Nyepi, is celebrated here every spring on the night of the new moon. On the eve of this day, the inhabitants of the island conduct several ritual ceremonies, and all the indigenous people participate in them. On this day, the carnival begins with huge stuffed animals made of fabric, bamboo and other materials. They are called Ogo-Ogo. A couple of years ago, my mother and I were in Moscow and went to have lunch before the concert at the pizzeria closest to the concert hall. We were waiting for our order looking at the unusual interior and listening to pleasant music, but it was quite crowded and therefore noisy. Unfortunately, the dishes did not justify their high price, the pizza was very dry, the salad was slightly salted, and the mors was sour.
