Graphene is a "sheet" of a single layer of carbon atoms - a material obtained by Andrey Geim and Konstantin Novoselov in 2004, which has got many unusual properties, thanks to which graphene is considered today as one of the most promising materials for creating new non-silicon elastic electronics. The main interest is the connection of the unique elastic properties of graphene with the electrical characteristics of the material. As scientists say, development and producing of it would become a revolution. Firstly, it is very durable - 300 times stronger than steel. He will be able to withstand the weight of an elephant, and this is far from the limit! Is it necessary to say where such a property can be applied? Bulletproof vests, super-strong houses and even spaceships! Secondly, it is very light - when you create it, you will literally see that it flies, because it is lighter than air! Super-strong and light aircraft are becoming real The most important property of graphene is electrical conductivity. It is 8 times higher than that of silicon, from which all transistors are currently made, that is, all electronic boards in general! And it turns out that a lightweight, durable and ultra-fast computer will replace it. It will not occupy even a tenth of the area of the current one. Also, graphene has excellent adsorbing properties, just like activated carbon. In my view, graphene is a really underrated breakthrough, which will lead us to new era of materials.
