First Permanent Ice Cross DownHill Track in the World.
Interview with Cameron Naasz(link) This sport takes its' origin from Red Bull - it's called Ice Cross Downhill. It's getting "huge" at the moment. Over 150.000 people overall were watching the race in St. Paul. By now, from Athletes to Fans, everyone is putting a lot of efforts to make this sport an Olympic one. Russia is the first country in the world to construct a permanent track. Previously, tracks were built for a month, and then getting "destroyed." Of course, such practice looks cool – the great track, built over the city, with all of those flashing lights and etc...
