Greetings, the smartest ones! ☕️ This is Lyubov Twinova again with the "Sunday Philosophy" section, where we explore complex questions together, relying on the wisdom of thinkers. Today, I want to immerse you a little in the work of Giorgio Agamben.

Let me note right away: I am not a fan of blind worship. My choice of Agamben is due to the resonance of his ideas with my own project – a dystopia called "$permanent". Not about eternal youth, as it might seem at first glance, but about eternal sperm circulation, about the violence of the inevitability of life continuation, trapped in a financial ($) bondage. And in this context, I feel a strong continuity with Agamben as a critic who mercilessly exposes the mechanisms of power.
Why Agamben?
1. Critique of Sovereign Power: Agamben shows how modern power penetrates all spheres of life, turning us into homo sacer, deprived of rights and protection. His analysis of the state of exception as the norm speaks to the fragility of freedom. In "$permanent", control over reproduction, over the continuation of the species, becomes a tool of power, turning life into a constant "state of exception" of duty.
2. The Concept of the "Apparatus": The apparatus, according to Agamben, is a complex network that captures us and shapes our thoughts. He exposes control apparatuses – from social networks to healthcare systems. In "$permanent", such an apparatus becomes the very biological necessity of reproduction, which has become a source of financial dependence.
3. Critique of Biopolitics: Agamben exposes biopolitics – the politics of managing the life of the population. In "$permanent", this theme reaches a grotesque level: not just health or sexuality, but the very ability to reproduce becomes an object of political regulation and exploitation.
4. Ethics of Resistance: Agamben does not just criticize but proposes an ethics of resistance. He calls for deactivating apparatuses, freeing oneself from prescribed roles, and seeking true humanity. Resistance in "$permanent" is the search for the possibility to free oneself from the burden of duty, from the imposed program of continuing the species at any cost, to realize not only one's value but also to acknowledge the cost of labor resources, to recognize the current state of affairs in order to have grounds for pushing toward alternative paths, at least.
Agamben points to the roots of power in violence and fear. "$permanent" visualizes this violence – the violence of inevitability, the violence of an economic system that turns life into a commodity. His philosophy and my dystopia ultimately call for reflection and rethinking of the most basic values.

What do you think about Agamben's philosophy in the context of the modern economy and control over human life? How do you see the connection between reproduction, monetization of femininity, increasing sexualization, and financial literacy? I look forward to your thoughts in the comments! 👇 #воскресныйфилософ #агамбен #spermanent #философия #дистопия #спермооборот #кабала #власть @lyoubov88 (https:/...88)
