Why is #CDProjekt at the top of the RPG industry?
🎮 Great games obviously.
But there's another ingredient. One that's often overlooked:
Localization 🔥
Let's look at their portfolio of games and how they expanded their localization efforts.
They localized it into 10 languages but only to a limited degree. It wasn't uncommon to hear the occasional Polish grunt from some NPCs.
2nd title 👉The Witcher 2: Assasins of Kings (2011)
11 languages initially, plus a fan-driven Turkish version later.
The community's love in action. This wasn't just about translations. The game came with several full voice-overs and more.
3rd (and best?) title 👉 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015)
16 languages, with 6 full dubs. They didn't just localize the game. Manuals and box art all got the treatment. And players could switch languages regardless of their region. Perfect for expats and polyglots.
4th title 👉 #Cyberpunk2077
19 languages, 9 of them fully dubbed. Yeah, read that again. 19 languages 😲, that's commitment.
