/RUSSIA, MOSCOW/ The metro station at Vnukovo Airport will open in 2023. Construction readiness is currently 60%. It will be possible to get to the airport from the center of Moscow (without transfers) by a direct line in about 40 minutes. Vnukovo will be the first airport in Russia with its own metro station and it will be possible to get here for only the price of one trip. In Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo, they cry and bite their elbows, in Zhukovsky (ZIA) they plan to close altogether soon. Vnukovo taxi drivers are now thinking of going to courses for programmers and florists together. But it is not exactly. /photos from the Telegram of S.S. Sobyanin./

On March 14, Vladimir Putin visited a helicopter plant in Ulan-Ude (Russia). About 15 minutes "flew" with an instructor in the Mil Mi-171A2 helicopter simulator at the aviation training center. He himself raised the helicopter into the air, flew over the city day and night, he landed the board himself. According to Kommersant (newspaper), before that, Putin already had experience of taking off and flying on a military flight simulator - he was able to take off on a combat aircraft from a virtual aircraft carrier, but could not cope with the landing - the plane crashed on the deck. The CBS TV-channel modeled the American version, according to which the Sukhoi Su-27 of the Russian Aerospace Forces dropped their reconnaissance and strike UAV MQ-9 Reaper directly into the Black Sea near the Crimea coast. That's how it was or not, it doesn't matter, but the Russian pilot should be awarded.

Rostec announced the signing of firm contracts for the production of 71 passenger aircraft and 107 helicopters. Deliveries for the next two years are expected as follows: - in 2023-2025 Aeroflot will receive 63 aircraft. 18 aircraft - MS-21, 34 aircraft - SSJ-NEW, 11 aircraft - Tu-214. - 17 Russian airlines will receive 86 Mi-8AMT/Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters. - the Far Eastern Russian airline "Aurora" in 2024-2026 will receive 8 SSJ-NEW aircraft, 10 Mi-171A2 helicopters and 11 Mi-171A3 helicopters. I would like to hope that the deadlines are not pushed to the right, as usual. Yes, and not just once because it turns out, for example, that another imported piece of exclusively domestic production was made in Taiwan and brought to a Russian warehouse even before the sanctions.

/RUSSIA/ Moscow International Aviation and Space Salon - 2023 will be held from 25 to 30 July 2023. The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Federal Air Transport Agency have agreed it. The place is the same as usual - Zhukovsky. It promises to be a very interesting: for the first time without the participation of Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and what has always been there before from the West in the name of ensuring that there is nothing from the Tupolev, Ilyushin, Yakovlev, Sukhoi Design Bureau. Let's hope that this time there will be a lot of things from China, Iran, India, the United Arab Emirates and other friendly comrades. North Korea - it would also be cool, but they say that they still fly MiG-17s there. Although ... I would not refuse to look at demonstration flights of serial combat MiG-17s in 2023. Not to mention the MiG-21 and Su-17.

16 years of flights under sanctions and everything is fine! This Boeing 747 got to Iran in 2006 by some tricky way. From an airline in the United States, he was re-registered to an Armenian airline and a few months later ended up in Iran. All this time, flights and maintenance of this Jumbo took place under the conditions of sanctions, which Russia only met in 2022. Well, in January 2023 we see this aircraft at the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, on a regular flight from Tehran. It's serviceable, it flies, it approved for international transportation. The point is that a normal life for aviation is possible even under sanctions, and the entire aviation fleet in the Russian Federation will not be under the fence in a couple of years, as many "experts" predicted and what the West is dreaming about now.

The European air traffic safety organization Eurocontrol shared negative statistics for 2022.
In total, hundreds of thousands of flights to the EU were canceled throughout the year, with approximately 2,000 flights canceled on average daily throughout the year. In the summer of 2022, half of all flight departures in Europe were delayed. During the year, only two-thirds of flights departed on time, well below the 2019 average of 73%. During the summer, dispatch punctuality dropped below 50% in early July and continued to fluctuate between 50% and 60% for most of the summer. Of course, not all European countries and airports were the same...

The Latvian airline airBaltic continues to persistently climb into politics. In the summer of 2022, the company opened ticket sales for Riga-Kyiv flights from last autumn, supposedly to give hope to everyone who wants to resume air traffic soon. Then the sales closed. Now the logo of the airline is decorated with the colors of the flag of a foreign state. But the airlines of Lithuania and Estonia do not do this. But this is not because they think otherwise, but because they went bankrupt and closed a long time ago. airBaltic also went bankrupt a long time ago, but was nationalized by the state for the sake of preservation. And the state is now drawing the airline into its political affairs.
