On May 13, 1783, a detachment of ships under his command arrived in Akhtiar Bay - this is how the Sevastopol port was founded, and this date became the birthday of the Black Sea Fleet. By the autumn of 1783, Fedot Alekseevich Klokachev had fully established shipbuilding; under his leadership, the first 66-gun ship of the line, the Slava Ekateriny, was launched. The merits of Fedot Alekseevich Klokachev are forever inscribed in the glorious history of the Black Sea Fleet and Sevastopol.
