Москва – Париж – Руан – Этрета – Онфлёр (2019)
Мы летели из Москвы в Париж с пересадкой и чуть не опоздали на самолёт. Если бы я снова планировала такую поездку, я бы не выбирала пересадку продолжительностью 2 часа или меньше.
В Париже (и такое же было со мной в Лионе) будьте готовы расплачиваться Visa/Mastercard или монетами за поезд из аэропорта в город. Может случиться так, что автоматы не принимают банкноты или ваша карта не подходит. Короче говоря, приготовьте несколько монет.
Париж
Подруга моего друга жаловалась на Париж, рассказывая, что она часами искала туалет возле Эйфелевой башни. Маленький совет: можно встать в очередь, чтобы пройти под башню, вход бесплатный. Внутри есть бесплатный туалет. Также недалеко от башни есть супермаркет, где можно купить еду и напитки.
Такси в Париже очень дорогое. Мы взяли Uber от хостела до вокзала. Машина застряла на узких улочках, и нам пришлось платить за каждую минуту поездки.
На Монмартре, рядом с собором Сакре-Кёр, есть бинокли для любопытных туристов. Обычно я ими никогда не пользуюсь. Когда мы всё-таки воспользовались, то поняли, что резкость бинокля не настраивается, но мы всё равно потратили на это свои 2 евро.
Выбирая жильё, подумайте, рядом с чем оно должно находиться. Лучше всего — рядом с вокзалами. Кроме того, стоит заранее уточнить, берут ли они плату за хранение багажа после выселения. Это не должно быть проблемой, но в Париже, в отеле IBIS, с нас взяли 2 евро за каждое место багажа.
Мы уходили из отеля рано утром и возвращались поздно ночью. Я следила за тем, чтобы у меня была тёплая одежда на вечер, даже если утром было довольно тепло.
Водопроводную воду во Франции можно пить. Можно брать с собой многоразовую бутылку.
Иногда местные автобусы не отображаются в Google Maps, поэтому вам также может пригодиться приложение Moovit. Оно очень точное и содержит информацию о местном общественном транспорте.
Париж – Руан
Добраться до Руана из Парижа легко. Билеты всегда можно забронировать на SNCF.com, поезда ходят регулярно. В поездах есть туалеты, на вокзале за них придётся заплатить.
Передняя дверь каждого вагона предназначена для входа, последняя — для выхода. Не путайте их, если не хотите злить других пассажиров.
Руан — небольшой город, поэтому всё можно посмотреть за один день. В зависимости от ваших предпочтений и темпа путешествия, здесь можно провести один или два дня. На мой взгляд, не больше. Здесь есть музеи, интересные здания, рестораны с вкусной едой и вином. Мы остановились в отеле очень близко к вокзалу. Я считаю, что это лучший вариант — тогда не нужно далеко идти с чемоданом.
В Руане мы легко нашли банкомат, который принимает UnionPay.
Этрета
Добраться до Этрета было сложно. Летом туда регулярно ходят автобусы Flixbus, но в сентябре их не было. Администратор отеля дала нам информацию о поезде и пересадочном автобусе, мы последовали её инструкциям, но информация оказалась неточной.
Мы доехали на поезде из Руана до Бреоте, это не составило никаких проблем. Обычно в Бреоте есть регулярный автобус (Le car) № 17, идущий прямо до Этрета. Но его не было. Вместо этого мы сели на ближайший автобус до Фекана. Расписание автобусов привязано к прибытию поездов, поэтому нам не пришлось долго ждать. В Фекане мы пошли в туристический офис и узнали, что есть автобус № 24, который курсирует между Феканом и Гавром и останавливается в Этрете.
Фекан — портовый город. Насколько мы видели, здесь можно провести пару часов или день, если у вас много времени.
Этрета — маленькая деревушка с потрясающими видами. На мой вкус, она стоит посещения. Я бы даже осталась здесь на две ночи, если бы была возможность. Здесь можно устроить небольшие походы, провести время на пляже или в ресторанах.
На следующий день мы сели на тот же автобус № 24, чтобы поехать в Гавр. Гавр — совсем не туристическое место. Оттуда можно доехать на автобусах № 20, 39ex, 50 до Онфлёра, который находится всего в получасе езды.
Онфлёр
Онфлёр — маленькое, но очень красивое место. Здесь есть кинотеатр и различные музеи. Пляж Онфлёра находится не прямо в центре города, как я ожидала. Мы провели здесь две ночи, и это было вполне разумно.
Из Онфлёра можно съездить на один день в другие города. Мы поехали в Довиль. Там можно по-настоящему насладиться прекрасным пляжем. Мы сели на автобус № 20 (Гавр – Довиль – Кан). Билеты можно купить либо на автовокзале, либо в автобусе.
Из Онфлёра можно уехать прямым автобусом Flixbus до Парижа. Или сесть на поезд из Довиля.
Moscow – Paris –Rouen – Etretat – Honfleur
We flew with a transit from Moscow to Paris, and we almost missed our flight. If I were to take the same trip, I wouldn’t choose a trip with the transit time of 2 hours or less.
In Paris, and it happened to me in Lyon, too, be ready to pay with a visa/ mastercard or coins for your train from the airport to the city. It can happen that banknotes are not accepted by the machines or your card is not valid. Long story short, prepare some coins.
Paris
My friend’s girlfriend complained about Paris saying she had to look for a toilet near the Eiffel Tower for hours. Little tip: you can queue to go under the Tower, and the entrance is free. Inside there is a free toilet. There is also a supermarket not from the Tower where you can buy some snacks and drinks.
The taxi is very expensive in Paris. We took Uber from our hostel to a train station. The car got stuck in the narrow streets, and we had to pay for every minute spent in the car.
On Montmartre near the Sacre Coer cathedral there are binoculars for curious tourists, I usually never use them. When we did, we realized that the sharpness of our binocular was not adjustable, but we anyway spent our 2 euros on it.
In one of the kiosks, I bought a sim-card valid throughout Europe called Lebara, and it was worth every cent. I used the same card in Italy, too.
While choosing accommodation think where it should be close too. The ones near train stations are the best. In addition, you may want to ask in advance if they charge you for the luggage fee: the luggage left in the hotel/hostel after you check out. It should not be a problem, but in Paris in IBIS hotel we were charged 2 euros per each item of luggage.
We left our hotel early in the morning and returned late at night. I made sure I had worm clothes for the evening even if it was quite warm in the morning.
The tap water is drinkable in France. You can bring your reusable bottle with you.
I bought a sim card called Lebara and used the data the whole time, it was worth it. Especially that I could finally use google maps (I can’t do that in China). Lebara worked in Italy, too. The trick with this card is that you have to set the Internet manually. For that, follow the instructions from its website, you will find all the information in FAQ.
Sometimes you can’t see local busses on Google maps, so you can also find helpful the app called Moovit. It is very precise and contains information about local public transport.
Paris-Rouen
It’s easy to get to Rouen from Paris. You can always book your tickets on SNCF.com, and the trains run regularly. There are toilets in the trains, you will have to pay for one at the station.
The front door of every coach is for taking on, the last one is for taking off. Don’t confuse these if you don’t want to make other passengers angry.
Rouen is a small town, so you can see all in a day. Depending on your preferences and travel pace you can spend one or two days here. In my opinion, not more. There are museums to visit, buildings to have a look at, restaurants with delicious food and wine. We stayed at a hotel very close to the train station. I find it the best way, then you don’t have to walk long distances with your suitcase.
In Rouen we could easily find an ATM that accepts UnionPay. This Chinese payment system seems to be accepted in more and more places across Europe. In Russia almost every bank accepts UnionPay cards.
Etretat
It was a challenge to get to Etretat. During the summer there are regular Flixbusses to go there, but in Spetember there was none. Our receptionist gave us information about the train and a connecting bus, and we followed her instructions, but the information was not accurate.
We took a train from Rouen to Breaute which is not a problem at all. Normally in Breaute there is a regular bus (le car) number 17 running directly to Etretat. But it was not there. Instead, we took the nearest bus to Fecamp. The busses’ schedule is in line with the trains’ arrival, so we didn’t have to wait much. In Fecamp we went to the tourist office to find out that there is bus number 24 that circulates between Fecamp and Haver and stops at Etretat.
Fecamp is a port town. From what we saw, you could probably spend a couple of hours or a day here if you have plenty of time.
Etretat is a small village with astonishing views. To my taste, it is worth visiting. I would even spend two nights here if I had a chance. You can go for little hikes, spend time at the beach or in restaurants.
We took the same bus number 24 to go to Havre the next day. Havre is not a touristy place at all. From there, you can take busses number 20, 39ex, 50 to Honfleur which is only half an hour away.
Honfleur is a small but very beautiful place. There is a cinema and various museums here. Honfleur’s beach is not right in the city centre, as I expected. We spent two nights here, and it seemed quite reasonable.
From Honfleur you can take day trips to other towns. We went to Deauville. There you can really enjoy an amazing beach. We took bus number 20 (Le Havre – Deauville – Caen). You can buy the tickets either at the bus station or in the bus.
From Honfleur you can take a direct Flixbus to Paris. Or you can take a train from Deauville.
