Закончилась наша шестая поездка в Мариуполь. Первый раз я там был 3 года назад вскоре после окончания военных действий.
Our sixth trip to Mariupol has come to an end. I was there for the first time three years ago, shortly after the end of hostilities.
Город быстро отстраивается хотя страшных следов войны еще огромное количество, причем везде.
The city is being rebuilt quickly, although there are still a huge number of terrible traces of the war, everywhere.
В эту поездку я читал лекцию по герменевтике для студентов семинарии не только из Мариуполя, но и из других мест донецкой области.
On this trip, I gave a lecture on hermeneutics to seminary students not only from Mariupol, but also from other places in the Donetsk region.
Служили также у наших старых друзей в РЦ и церкви «Сердце Давида».
Самой запоминающейся частью было общение с пасторами двух церквей Мариуполя, которые в молитве получили руководство от Господа остаться в городе и служить людям в самое страшное военное время. Кстати, из множества пасторов Мариуполя уехали почти все, но пастора Евгений и Николай приняли мужественное, даже жертвенное решение остаться. Они служат в разных церквах.
We also ministered to our old friends at the Rehab Center and the Heart of David Church.
The most memorable part was our conversation with the pastors of two churches in Mariupol, who received guidance from the Lord through prayer to remain in the city and minister to the people during the most terrible time of war. Almost all of the many pastors in Mariupol left, but Pastors Evgeny and Nikolai made a courageous, even sacrificial, decision to stay. They minister in different churches.
Дом молитвы, где служит пастор Евгений находится всего в полутора километрах от Азовстали и к тому же на возвышенности, поэтому его сохранность является абсолютно сверхъестественным чудом.
Евгений говорит, что имел руководство от Духа Святого каждый раз когда надо было ехать и забирать кого-то из верующих, потому что самое безопасное место было именно в церкви.
Дважды ему было видение купола Божьей защиты удивительных цветов над церковью, а над куполом висел дух смерти, которая царствовала тогда в городе в течение 40 дней...
Пастор говорит, что война подтвердила его веру - живая церковь спасает как духовно, так и физически.
Здание колебалась от взрывов, перерывы между обстрелами были не более 5 минут и так круглые сутки, но здание не только выдержало, но даже сохранились окна (!) и это в городе, где все окна были выбиты, а огромное число домов взорвано и сожжено...
Еще одно сверхъестественное чудо - церковь находится на большом участке в почти один гектар. За все 40 дней туда прилетели всего 2 (!) снаряда. Один взорвался так, что никому не причинил вреда. От другого в земле осталось только круглое отверстие. Уже после окончания военных действий взрывотехники раскопали это отверстие и были очень удивлены тем, что вопреки законам физики сила взрыва не выбросила землю и осколки наружу, а вся направилась внутрь земли, где образовалось пространство похожее на целую комнату, что конечно никому не причинило вреда.
Вообще в то время каждая поездка за людьми или за водой или за едой была чудом Божьей милости и защиты. Пастор ездил по дорогам разбитым взрывами и усеянным осколками и под постоянной опасностью со всех сторон, но под водительством Духа и охраной ангелов каждый раз оставался невредимым!
В здании церкви под куполом Божьей защиты спаслись десятки людей, среди которых было много детей.
Мысли о войне вызывают у нас панику, страх, смятение. На этом фоне особенно удивительно звучали слова пастора о том, что лучшее время его служения было как раз во время войны. Люди были максимально искренни и открыты для Бога, понимая, что каждый день и даже час может быть последним… Поэтому и Писание учит нас : «Итак бодрствуйте, потому что не знаете, в который час Господь ваш придет» (Матф.24:42).
The church building where Pastor Evgeny serves is located just a kilometer and a half from Azovstal and on a hill, making its preservation a truly supernatural miracle.
Evgeny says he was guided by the Holy Spirit every time he had to go and pick up people, because the church was the safest place.
Twice, he saw a vision of a dome of God's protection, filled with wondrous colors, over the church, and above the dome hung the spirit of death, which had reigned in the city for 40 days...
The pastor says the war confirmed his faith—a living church saves both spiritually and physically. The building shook from the explosions, with intervals of no more than five minutes between shellings, 24 hours a day. Yet, not only did it hold up, but even the windows (!) were preserved, and this was in a city where every window had been blown out, and countless houses had been blown up and burned...
Another supernatural miracle: the church is located on a large plot of land, almost one hectare. Over the course of 40 days, only two (!) shells struck it. One exploded without causing any harm. The other left only a round hole in the ground. After the military operations ended, bomb disposal experts excavated this hole and were amazed that, contrary to the laws of physics, the force of the explosion did not throw earth and debris outward, but instead was directed entirely into the earth, creating a space resembling an entire room, which, of course, did not harm anyone.
Indeed, at that time, every trip to rescue people, or get water, or food was a miracle of God's mercy and protection. The pastor traveled along roads ravaged by explosions and littered with shrapnel, facing constant danger from all sides, but under the guidance of the Spirit and the protection of angels, he remained unharmed each time!
Dozens of people, including many children, were saved in the church building under the dome of God's protection.
Thoughts of war evoke panic, fear, and confusion in us. Against this, the pastor's words that the best time of his ministry was precisely during the war, were especially striking. People were incredibly sincere and open to God, understanding that every day, even every hour, could be their last...
Therefore, Scripture teaches us: "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming" (Matt. 24:42).
Пастор Николай со своей семьёй тоже решил остаться. К ним в дом пришел верующий брат инвалид. Ему надо было служить, как и многим другим людям...
Такие люди как Николай и Евгений - настоящие герои духа.
Провести с ними время для меня было настоящей привилегией.

Pastor Nikolai and his family also decided to stay. A disabled Christian brother came to their home. He needed help and couldn't leave, like many others...
People like Nikolai and Evgeny are true heroes of the spirit. Spending time with them was a true privilege.
