Autumn came in, soft and slow, Through the city of closed windows. Birds reflected in the glass, Leaves were falling as she passed. People walking, tired and blind, Through the parks they left behind. Autumn laughed and spun around, Dancing leaves upon the ground. She said — "You fade like leaves at sunset, Still believing you will never die. The rain that touched your weary faces — Was only washing tears from the sky." Autumn smiled and disappeared, Morning rains, the night was clear. Winter whispered through the frost — "What was it that Autumn lost?" She said — "You fade like leaves at sunset, Still believing you will never die. The rain that touched your weary faces — Was only washing tears from the sky." And so she left without goodbye, Autumn’s laughter filled the sky… © 2025 SERGEY MACHULYAK
