The Little Raindrop’s Adventure

Here’s a simple rain-themed fairy tale for beginners in English: Once upon a time, in a big blue sky, there lived a little raindrop named Drippy. Drippy lived in a fluffy white cloud with many other raindrops. They played together every day, sliding down the soft cottony sides of the cloud. One morning, Drippy looked down at the Earth and saw something sad: the flowers were drooping, the grass was brown, and the little river was almost dry. “The Earth needs us!” Drippy said. “But we must wait for the rain song,” said the oldest raindrop. And soon, the wind began to sing: “Woo-oo, time to fall, Woo-oo, time to splash!” Drippy felt excited and a little scared. “Will I be brave enough to jump?” Drippy thought. But then Drippy remembered the thirsty flowers and took a deep breath. “I’ll help!” With a tiny leap, Drippy fell from the cloud. Down, down, down—faster and faster! “But we must wait for the rain song,” said the oldest raindrop. And soon, the wind began to sing: “Woo-oo, time to fall, Woo-oo, time to splash!”

Drippy felt excited and a little scared. “Will I be brave enough to jump?” Drippy thought. But then Drippy remembered the thirsty flowers and took a deep breath. “I’ll help!”

With a tiny leap, Drippy fell from the cloud. Down, down, down—faster and faster! The wind whispered, “Welcome to the adventure!”

When Drippy landed on a dry patch of soil, something magical happened. The ground drank Drippy up, and right away, a tiny green sprout pushed through the earth. “I helped!” Drippy whispered happily.

Soon, more raindrops fell around Drippy—plip, plop, splish!—and the whole field turned green again. The flowers lifted their heads, the grass grew tall, and the river filled with water.

At sunset, the sun smiled and said, “Thank you, little raindrops!” And Drippy knew that even the smallest drop can make a big difference.

The end.
