A red apple

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. She loved the colour red. One sunny morning, Lily went to the garden. In the garden, she saw a beautiful red apple on a tree.

“What a lovely red apple!” Lily said. She reached up and picked it. The apple was shiny and round. It looked very tasty.

Lily took the apple to her grandma. Grandma smiled and said, “Thank you, Lily! I will make a red apple pie.”

Grandma cut the apple and put it in a big bowl. She added sugar and cinnamon. Soon, the kitchen smelled sweet and warm.

When the pie was ready, Lily and Grandma sat at the table. They each had a slice of the red apple pie. It was the most delicious pie Lily had ever eaten!

“I love red apples,” Lily said with a happy smile.

And so, Lily learned that something as simple as a red apple could make a perfect day even better.
