Помимо хорошо всем знакомого слова «sleep», можно использовать «doze», которым обозначается непродолжительный сон.

Так в чем же разница между «nap» и «doze»? «Nap», как правило, относится к запланированному сну, в то время как «doze» зачастую к случайному, непреднамеренному погружению в сон, например, от усталости.
