Alfa-Bank, together with "VimpelCom," launched a pilot project in one of the communication stores in Saint Petersburg, within which a workplace for a bank employee was organized in the store to collect biometrics.

This will allow foreigners to register in the EBS and activate a SIM card right on the spot, without visiting a bank branch.

Alfa-Bank also opened an additional office based in the T2 operator's communication store.

Let us remind you that under current legislation, communication operators cannot independently register biometrics, so such solutions definitely simplify the process of obtaining services for foreign citizens.

Note: this only saves a trip to the bank for biometrics. A SNILS and Gosuslugi account most still be set up at the MFC first.
