Chernobyl. This name has become a household word. It reminds us of the terrible tragedy and the heroism of those who participated in the liquidation of the consequences of the nuclear accident. Among them were many of our fellow countrymen.
April 26 is the Day of Participants in the Liquidation of Consequences of Radiation Accidents and Disasters and Remembrance of the Victims of These Accidents and Disasters.
According to our President, the scale of the Chernobyl tragedy “could have become immeasurably greater if not for the unparalleled courage and dedication of firefighters, military personnel, specialists, and medical workers who honorably fulfilled their professional and civic duty.”
In Crimea, everything possible is being done to provide participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster and other radiation accidents with a decent level of social support. This is our absolute priority.
Today's date has another dimension. Unfortunately, not everyone has learned the lessons of Chernobyl. This is evidenced, among other things, by the attempts at nuclear blackmail and attacks on nuclear power plants by Kiev.
Only the fulfillment of all the goals of the special military operation set by the President can stop the crazy Nazis and prevent new tragedies. This is in the interests of all normal people throughout the world.
