Перевод на английский: Прогулки по воде (Nautilus Pompilius)

Apostle Andrew was fishing one day,

And the Man was walking the waves;

And that day Andrew's catch was small fish in small batches,

The Man's catch was many lost men.

"Andrew cried from his pier: "Rabbi, I'll walk away

If You don't share your secret with me",

And the Man told him: "Andrew, I plead you stay calm",

"There's no secret and never has been".

.

Can you see? A big cross

Towers high on the hill,

Soldiers walking around.

Hang in there for a while!

You can come back to me,

When you feel that you're done.

We'll walk on the waves,

We'll walk on the waves

Together: you and I.

.

"But my Rabbi, there's ravens circling the skies,

And soldiers with horns on their helms,

Please, have mercy oh this humble fool, tell me now;

And, mayhap, crucifixion can wait?"

The Man was all pale; He stomped on the water

And said: "Humble fool, Andrew dear?

You've named yourself aptly", and Andrew went home

With his mundane catch and in tears.

.

Can you see? A big cross

Towers high on the hill,

Soldiers walking around.

Hang in there for a while!

You can come back to me,

When you feel that you're done.

We'll walk on the waves,

We'll walk on the waves

Together: you and I.
