Grains such as wheat and barley already occupy a significant share in the structure of trade between the countries. However, as Manturov emphasized, this is just the beginning. Russia aims not only to ensure Qatar's food security but also to create a regional agro-industrial hub in the country, which could be an important step in developing the agricultural sector of both nations.
Additionally, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in shipbuilding. Russia possesses advanced developments in this field, including passenger vessels on hydrofoils and environmentally friendly electric vessels. These technologies may be of interest to Qatar, especially considering its ambitious plans for developing maritime transport and ecology.
Thus, the joint efforts of Russia and Qatar open new horizons for economic cooperation.
