Now, you will demonstrate your understanding of effective instructional strategies by connecting the concepts of problem-based learning (PBL), project-based learning (PJBL), and/or Inquiry-based learning (IBL) along with the integrating of technology from the readings and videos in this course so far.    Additionally, you must integrate feedback from previous assessments—Written Assignment (WA) 3, Portfolio Activity (PA) 4, and Written Assignment (WA)5—to demonstrate your comprehension of various instructional strategies' effectiveness.

Assignment

Create a lesson plan on a topic of your choice using the provided template and include the following information with relevant justification:

a) Include a topic name that is appropriate for a secondary classroom in the lesson plan.

b) Add the learning outcomes you wish your students to meet.

c) Include problem-based learning (PBL), project-based learning (PJBL), and/or Inquiry-based learning (IBL) L approaches Please incorporate the feedback provided in WA3, PA4 and WA5.

d) Specify the types of technology you plan to include (e.g., coding exercises, video creation) to improve student learning.

e) Describe how student learning will be assessed.

How will you assess students’ learning (e.g. True/False, MCQs and/or match the column etc.)?

f. Display elements of CLD (Constructivist Learning Design) in the lesson plan

Submission Instructions

  • Submit a Word document for the lesson plan. The lesson plan must follow Gagnon and Collay's (2005) template.
  • Use high-quality, credible, relevant sources to develop ideas appropriate for the discipline and genre of writing.  Use the APA format for citation list and in paper citation.  Refer to the UoPeople APA Tutorials in the LRC for help with APA citations.
  • Cite at least two course readings and two outside resources (at least four total).
  • Check all content for grammar and spelling.
  • Please check the Information Literacy section on this course page, located on the right-hand side resource block. It provides valuable guidance on using information effectively to accomplish your specific goals. Gain skills in utilizing credible sources to strengthen your arguments and critically assess the information you encounter.
