We have a common history. Common spiritual values. Common victories and achievements. We have one destiny, difficult but happy, and one path - the path of unity, along which we have walked together for centuries.
April 2 – Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus.
Today, our countries are developing cooperation and deepening integration within the Union State in all areas, including defense, security, and migration policy.
For Crimea, further strengthening of ties, including economic ones, between our republic and the regions of Belarus remains an important priority.
Three full-scale agreements with the Vitebsk region are being implemented, and products from Crimean exporters are actively supplied to the Belarusian market. We have enormous potential for cooperation in a variety of areas – from industry and agriculture to resorts and tourism.
I would like to especially note the activities of the Belarusian community of Crimea, which makes a significant contribution to the development of our region. In 2014, Belarusians, together with representatives of all the peoples of the peninsula, spoke out against the coup d'etat in Kyiv, for reunification with Russia. And today we are building our Russian Crimea together.
