Дисклеймер: В этой части я наконец-то расскажу, какая страна победила в голосовании. Для меня это было неожиданностью, т.к. я думала, что эта страна вам будет менее интересна, чем остальные. Даже в голосование не хотела сначала её вставлять. А она каким-то образом победила в голосовании!

Ну вот опять началось! Grandma seems to be super excited by the music of the new local band she found recently. I wish Dad will refrain from arguing with her, but I don't have much hope. They never reach a compromise, never!
Grandma has uploaded the music to her phone, Dad hates that. This is not going well so far. Somehow, Grams seems sure that Dad will like what she is about to turn on for him to listen to. He never does, so why bother. Rita might like it, she sang a couple of songs that our Granny had found, but normally she likes other kinds of music.
However, Grandma is determined. She says that the band is called Политика, which immediately made me cautious. I have a love-hate relationship with politics and I definitely don't want to listen to political slogans in my music. Grandmother promises there's no politics in the music. Really? Hmm, that's a strange name then.
As she turned the music on, and the first chords started playing, Dad started smiling. The music had a very nostalgic feel to it, not something that I normally listen to, but I don't have anything against it, I mean Blinding Lights by the Weeknd also has a retro vibe, and it's crazy popular. Why is that, that retro became so trendy? Anyways, that's beside the point. I liked a couple of songs from the EP and have also sent "Здравствуй, радость моя" to my girlfriend, Julia. She didn't respond straight away, which is not like her. Maybe, I'm reading too much into it? (послушать музыку можно здесь)

Something weird happened today, my Grams and Dad agreed on the music, whereas usually, their tastes are polar opposite. My brother is not on his phone, what is happening to the world?! That's just unprecedented! I, personally, loved the song called "День", there's something about this song that grabs your attention and never lets go. I like songs that are low-key and sad, so this one will blend in perfectly with the rest of my collection. Я часто нахожу что-нибудь для себя среди новинок от бабули. Not like I listen to that much music in Russian. None of my favorite singers is Russian, maybe it's because I speak English well enough to understand the lyrics of the songs in English, so I'm not limited to my native language.
Anyway, it's finally the time for presents! I can't wait to see everyone's faces when they see what I got them! I'm sure they'll be impressed, I mean I didn't work to earn enough money to buy those things for nothing!
Mom was the first one to open her presents. She was excited to see a travel-sized perfume by Killian called Intoxicated. She wanted something that smells like a freshly brewed cup of black coffee, so I thought this perfume would be just what she needs. Vanya gave our Mom a fitness bracelet with a red strap. His girlfriend made him join a gym with her; since then he is counting the steps, calories, and lifted kilos almost religiously. So no wonder that Vanya made us join the cult. Predictably, he gave Dad the same kind of a bracelet, but with a black strap. I hope mine will at least have a purple one, otherwise, I'll be disappointed. Oh nice, it does have a purple strap! Grams and Grandad got the same bracelets with yellow and green straps. Well, good thing we won't mix our fitness bracelets up. I wonder how Vanya is writing lyrics for his band, he has no imagination whatsoever! Dad loved my present, I'm glad that he can't keep anything to himself, or I would have had a much harder time choosing his present. Vanya seemed happy with the Disney+ subscription. I bet he will watch the series all night today, I know my brother way too well.
I glanced at my Mom and saw that she gave my Grams a look that I don't know how to interpret. Something fishy is going on, and I'm not a part of the secret, not fair! Vanya was to busy with his phone to notice. He looked worried. He never looks worried. What is going on here? I hate being out of the loop! Nothing drives me crazy like that. I have to get to the bottom of it.
I got distracted by the look on my Grams' face when she saw her presents. I love seeing her facial expressions, she is so unapologetically happy when she gets something that she wants. We got her a new synth which she wanted for ages, and her face lit up like a Christmas candle! A new chessboard for my Grandad made him almost as thrilled as my Grams. He loves chess and he said that the paint on his old chess set started to crack, so it didn't look as nice anymore. The new set was made out of marble and we have all contributed to the purchase, as my wages were way too small for such a gift.
Finally, it came the time for the presents from my parents and grandparents. They are smiling from ear to ear, so I have concluded that we were in for a surprise. The present is small, flat and rectangular. I open mine and find a bar of my favorite chocolate inside. Seriously, that was what the fuss was all about? I can't believe that they have got me a bar of chocolate. I flip the bar of chocolate and can't believe my eyes. Glued to the other side of the bar is a return ticket to...Ireland!
