The aircraft took off from the Moscow Region Flight Test and Development Base of the OKB im. A.S. Yakovlev and landed at the international airport of Nizhny Novgorod. V.P. Chkalov, delivering Father Frost, Snegurochka and the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin to Nizhny Novgorod, accompanied by flight attendants of the Rossiya airline.

Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden were met at the airport by the children of the participants in the special military operation and the members of the Nizhny Novgorod boys' choir.

Nizhny Novgorod became a participant of the festive project not by chance. On the eve of 2023, in which the Russian Federation will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its civil aviation, Irkut Corporation recreated with this flight the first passenger flight Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod, from which the history of regular air transportation in our country began in 1923.

Serial production of the imported version of the MS-21 aircraft is scheduled to begin at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in 2024, one of the first to receive this aircraft is Rossiya Airlines, the largest operator of domestically produced aircraft.
