Rains, frequent fog, leaf fall, light morning frosts — all these present dangers for drivers in the autumn.
• On a road covered with leaves, overtaking and sudden braking are dangerous.
• In fog, the distance between vehicles seems to be 1.5-2 times longer than it is.
• In rainy weather, the traction between the car and the road decreases, which in turn increases the likelihood of skidding and lengthens the braking distance.
• If the weather is sunny and warm during the day, and then at night the temperature drops below zero, ice may appear on the tracks — any manoeuvre can cause skidding and lead to an accident.
Stay safe! In an emergency, call "112"!
