Summer is approaching, or rather, let's say that it has already arrived, and what could be better than to organize yourself with some nice games to be played by many on the beach, in the mountains or wherever you want? So you can help us this game fresh off the press: I doubt, "designed" by Antonio Manzolini, published by GiochiUniti, which puts at the table from 2 to 8 players! I put "designed" in quotes, because the game is nothing more than a very narrow variant of the ancient game Perudo, whose author is lost in the mists of time ... The shape of the innovative box and prestigious materials make it an edition appreciated by those who do not have a different version, for a game that has entertained generations of gamblers and bluffers! So you can help us this game fresh off the press: I doubt, "designed" by Antonio Manzolini, published by GiochiUniti, which puts at the table from 2 to 8 players!

I put "designed" in quotes, because the game is nothing more than a very narrow variant of the ancient game Perudo, whose author is lost in the mists of time ...

MATERIALS AND RULES

The box is just what you see in the picture: a nut, made of hard plastic, about 14 cm side.

In the nut there are the 8 coloured hard plastic glasses, and the 40 d6 nuts, coloured in the 8 colours of the glasses, with the values from 2 to 6, and instead of the value 1 there is a snail.

The equipment ends with a black cloth bag and the rules.

The nuts are also made of plastic and of appropriate size.

The publishing house probably wanted to make an old game with a completely new and modern dress, which can therefore be appreciated by new generations.

The rules are very simple.

Each player is provided with his glass in which he will place his dice.

Each player then shakes the glass and turns it on the table, so that the glass covers his dice: when everyone is ready, everyone secretly looks at the result of their dice.

The starting point is a player, who starts by making a bet, that is, he must declare how many dice, of a certain value at least, are under all the glasses.

The player to his right can doubt or raise; if he doubts, all the dice are discovered and it checks if the bid was false or not.

When checking the dice, the declarer may use all the spirals on the table as a wild card.

In the event of an error, the player who made the bet loses one die; otherwise, the doubter loses one die.

The lost dice end up in the bag.

If the player raises, he can raise either by increasing the number of dice of that value, or by placing a new bet using a higher die value, but still starting from a number greater than or equal to the previous bet.

The only exception is the possibility to bet on a number of spirals of at least half the number of the previous bet.

The bet following a spiral must be either a greater number of spirals, or any value but with a number equal to twice as many plus one as the previous bet.

The ball passes to the next player, who must again choose whether to doubt or not.

The turn ends when someone doubts and you check the last bid made.

The next round is restarted by the player who lost in the last round, unless he is left without dice, so he leaves the game.

If a player is left with only one die, he can declare himself "lead", only once per game: in this case he goes to play and the player who raises cannot bet on different die values, but only raise the number.

The aim of the game is to be the only player who still has dice.

It is also proposed the variant with knocking, where, who "knocks" can decide to bet on the exact number of dice, to recover a die lost previously.

ENTREPRENEURSHIPS

This game is the essence of gambling: very few and simple probability calculations: the rest is factor C!

In fact, the first bets, especially if you play in many, go away quite smoothly, but as the numbers to be proposed increase, well, it becomes complicated to rely on statistics.

Often, in fact, those who lose the bet, or those who lose the doubt, do so for a handful of dice, often for a single die!

And in that case there are no accounts that keep... "you have to feel it."

It is precisely this ancestral feeling, which is the basis of all games of chance, and that, in lovers of the genre, triggers the adrenaline, which makes the game interesting: do what you expect: nothing more and nothing less.falling into the trap.

Even the component of the bluff has its importance: betting on a number of which you are not sure can make the next player fall into error, which, strong of an important bet, perhaps having some dice of that value, can be tempted not to doubt, falling into the trap.

This dynamic is implemented especially in the initial phase, where you have many dice available.

The game is also, perhaps especially, suitable for a company of caciaroni, where the mockery is the master.

In conclusion: nothing new, indeed, something very old, with a whole new look!
