Endurance is necessary to some extent in any physical activity. In some types of physical exercises it directly determines the sports result (walking, running for medium and long distances, cycling, long distance skating, skiing), in others it allows performing certain tactical actions (boxing, wrestling, sports games, etc.) in the best way. Third, it helps to withstand repeated short-term high loads and provides fast recovery after work (sprinting, throwing, jumping, weightlifting, fencing, etc.).
We must admit that all athletes need endurance and there are no exceptions.
In addition, endurance is necessary for athletes not only during the competition, but also to perform a large amount of training work, so as not to get tired of long warm-up and long expectations between starts, for faster recovery. Also, a high level of overall endurance is one of the main evidence of excellent health of the athlete. This is why the process of development of this physical quality is so important.
