1.5 Paper folding technique.

When practicing the technique of folding the various elements of products origami, it is necessary to pay special attention to the correct execution of folds. They should be practically "sharp" and the layers of paper in them must adhere tightly to each other. Otherwise, when applying Foldings on each other in the subsequent operations there is a shift of elements and it is impossible to create a beautiful, neat product. Therefore after performance of each separate stage of work it is necessary to check "sharpness" of all folds.

When working on folds to obtain the head, beak, paws, tail should pay attention to the part of which animal or bird is similar to what happened during the folding. It is important to know the peculiarities of their structure in life, to understand the possibilities of styling. This will help to carry out the products according to the schemes, as well as to improve them and develop their own models.

When working on the technique of folding symmetrical folds (execution of legs, beaks, elements of flowers) should not be bent sides of the tightly docked with each other, as in subsequent operations, they can overlap each other and spoil the appearance of the product. At rough mistakes of such product sometimes it is simply impossible to summarize.

1.6. Variants of products origami.

Having studied the folding technique and basic forms, you can proceed to the manufacture of the products themselves. Do not start with interesting, but complex figures. Even if you want to make them, without accumulating experience in the performance of simple and complex products, they do not turn out to be of high quality.

First, it is worth doing work in which the basic forms are not accentuated or absent, that is, the manufacture of figures to start with a square, triangle, rectangle, and then with the simplest of the basic Forms: "paper snake", "pillow", "door leaves", etc. These simple shapes and products can be used in math lessons to explain the properties of geometric shapes and planes.

In diagrams starting with a basic shape, the process of making it is omitted, as students should already know this shape and have experience of folding it. When performing such products, you should pay attention to how the basic form itself affects the final result and the techniques of working with it in the process of making a figure. For example, from the basic forms of "Crane" "Camel" can be made several types of cranes, which will differ not only in appearance, but also the technique of execution, although for some of them the basic forms will be the same.

In some works, especially in the combined form of origami, in the performance of individual parts that make up the product, the basis for them is a stage of execution of the main part of the product.

In the manufacture of products consisting of several individual parts, modules or finished products (garlands, balls, frames, etc.), you should pay attention to the standardity and accuracy of their execution. Neglecting this leads to the impossibility of joining the parts or to poor appearance of the finished work. In the manufacture of this type of products should be selected for all work of a single grade of paper (meaning the thickness, density, elasticity).
