Social fear exists in the period from the awareness of certain social education as an independent and wealthy force, to the social action that implements the claims of this force.
The development of the system can be determined by a fundamentally new education, which has emerged as an irrational social quality. For example, Calvinism for the system of social relations was such an irrational quality, the essence of which is in the specific relationship between religion and the requirements of the bourgeoisie, which in its way read not only the Bible but the entire book of human spirituality. The social fear of dictatorship is always the result of violence. And this is not only the violence of the minority over the majority but also the majority over the minority.
Many of these conclusions can be considered as a legitimate extrapolation of the past patterns of formation of the dictatorial regime on the historical scene of Europe during the period of formation and establishment of the dictatorship of fascism as a political force.
The problem of fear, although rooted in the distant past, is still relevant and will always remain so, because as long as there is a human being, fear will exist with him. Of course, as society and civilization develop, it will take on new forms, and people will invent new ways of fighting it. And if society will continue to develop as an authoritarian-mechanistic society, then fear will always live in the soul of a person. Is fear inevitable, is it possible to get rid of it forever? Is it necessary for the existence of man as, for example, pain, can man exist without fear? Most likely not. Anyone who is completely devoid of fear is deprived of all responsibility and duty and is unable to coexist with other human beings.
Therefore, fear is not only inevitable but also necessary. As you know, fear is a positive quality when it mobilizes us on some action or stops us. Another thing is that fear can have negative qualities and direct people's actions in a destructive way. For example, one of the most effective ways to displace fear is aggression. If a person finds strength in himself from a passive state of fear to go into attack, then the agonizing feeling of fear disappears. So there are wars, murders, etc. Also, the fear that dominates society, leads to psychological isolation of people, deformation of human relations, demoralization of society. The solution to this problem can also manifest itself in such forms as sadism, masochism, narcissism and the last, malignant form - destructiveness, that is, the desire to destroy all people. Humanity must curb unnecessary fears, we need to look our fears in the eye and learn to live with this inevitable companion of any highly organized life.
For this purpose it is necessary to study fear, for whoever is warned, he is armed. A man begins to be afraid as soon as he is born, the fear increases several times when he learns to think, understands the contradictions of his being, which is that nature has endowed man with consciousness, leaving him with a part of himself. Fears only intensify throughout life; when a person thinks that he has finally overcome his fear, a new one emerges and he begins to look for other means and measures against him, and it seems that this is the only meaning of life.
With the development of technogenic civilization, which destroyed the biological basis of active personality for several millennia, the burden of fear on man is constantly increasing, man is not freed from the logic of the biological ancient fears, but on the contrary, strengthens them and constantly creates new ones. Human civilization follows the path of fear, and this is inevitably a dead-end path.
The more civilization develops and the stronger the intellectual power of mankind becomes, the deeper is the abyss into which the human race rolls.
Such a civilization turns people into masses, and fear becomes mass, it averages and becomes unified for the whole of mankind. This process is just beginning. Won't we face the situation of global standardization of fear and the formation of a mass of people equal in number to the whole of humanity? This question should be of interest to ideologists of globalization of world economic and social processes.
So, we see that fear is deeply rooted in the biological structure of man. But this structure is not congenital; it was formed in the process of historical development and, in principle, can be changed. Man can love other people, but to do so he must be an independent and creative person. True humanism can defeat fear, but unfortunately, there are still no trends to overcome it. To change society, we need to change civilization and a long and difficult process that is not always possible.
