Ways to react to stress, “horse” or “turtle”

There are types of people who differ in the way they react to stress. Hans Seller called some “racehorses”, others “turtles”. People of the first type feel like “fish in water” in stressful situations, they live and are happy only in the fast rhythm of life, they love the thrill. Another type of person (“turtles”) strives for peace, silence, stability, dimensional.
Modern scientists have proved by means of the ideogram method that during the nervous overexertion of the internal secretion glands a large number of hormones, namely adrenaline, and noradrenaline, are thrown into the bloodstream. As a result, three types of people were identified:
— Adrenaline, if you get more adrenaline under stress;
— noradrenaline, if more nor adrenaline;
— mixed super emotional, if there is the excess of both adrenaline and noradrenaline.

Modern scientists have proved by means of the ideogram method that during the nervous overexertion of the internal secretion glands a large number of hormones, namely adrenaline, and noradrenaline, are thrown into the bloodstream. As a result, three types of people were identified:

— Adrenaline, if you get more adrenaline under stress;

— noradrenaline, if more nor adrenaline;

— mixed super emotional, if there is the excess of both adrenaline and noradrenaline.

The first type is characterized by increased anxiety. Such a person may be concerned 24 hours a day, even in a dream. A characteristic feature of these people is an acute sense of responsibility. These people are usually conscientious artists. They do not know how to rest, overburden themselves with official business, take a job on weekends, come to work while on vacation. Excessive nervous stress is often the cause of hypertension, as adrenaline increases the tone of the cardiovascular system. Fatigue and nervous breakdown lead to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, to the formation of cerebral blood circulation insufficiency.

Adrenaline type is characterized by increased internal tension, suspicion. Usually, it is a few words of people, secretive, powerful. Their merits — purposefulness, ability to achieve high results in their activities, ability to overcome difficulties and obstacles. Increased internal emotions, dissatisfied ambition, aggressiveness can lead to a nervous breakdown, as well as to vascular problems.

The third type is characterized by increased emotionally and anxiety. These people respond to any event with emotional outbursts. They have constant mood swings, moving from joy to despair, and vice versa. They are always a little of an artist, eager to be in plain sight, to attract attention. The positive feature of this type of personality is a developed ability to imagination, sensitivity, the ability to empathize. From unpleasant emotions and difficult situations, they can “escape into sickness”. Often suffer from colds, sometimes bad sleep.

In the fight against nervous tension, apathy, and stress, the most important factor is the positive attitude of the person. There are a lot of techniques to work out a positive outlook on life, the most used of them are three directions: positive statements — affirmations, positive mood — the belief that everything will work, positive thinking — the ability to “right” look at the world.

The author of the affirmation technique is Emil Cue. For him, affirmation is a persuasive statement with an emphasis on what a person wants to have concerning his abilities, skills, relations with people, etc. Affirmations are built on the basis of future time: “Every day my health is getting better and better”, "I am a great tax collector, and every day my professionalism is improving and improving”, “Every day I am getting more and luckier”, “The flow of money in my life is increasing and increasing". Affirmations are a kind of auto training and work better if they are pronounced in the morning (daytime setting) and in the evening (bookmark on the subconscious).

The key phrases in the technique of positive mood are: "I can", "I can do it all”, "I will do it". The motto of life of people with a positive attitude is the slogan: "If not me, then who else?

Positive thinking is statements and thinking based on the description of events or processes in a positive way. The ability to see in any event not only disadvantages but also advantages. Pessimists see more often than not the bad in everything that is happening, optimists even see something positive in the bad. Emilie-Auguste Ch artier, French philosopher, literary critic, and publicist said: “pessimism is mood and optimism is will. It is only with the help of one's own will that one can turn the worldview towards light and joyful being.

Remember the famous parable of a half-empty and half-full glass. An optimist half-filled glass perceives it as half full and rejoices, a pessimist as half empty and sorry. The glass and its filling do not change in any way. It is up to us to decide how to react to this or that event in our lives and whether it will be a stressor for us.
