Hello, dear health-conscious person!
Today I want to introduce you to my favorite exercise equipment including my favorite workout outfit.
About 1.5 years ago I came to Poledance. It was summer, it was raining a lot, and then it is not always so funny and motivating to go out.
So I thought, I need a sport that can be done indoors, which strengthens where best all muscle groups and of course fun. A device that is always ready (which I do not first build and then put away again - because otherwise I do not do it, I know me ...) and that does not occupy so much space.
I have always liked to dance and Poledance strengthens the entire trunk, the arm muscles as well as the leg muscles.
Unfortunately, Poledance is anything but easy.
I started with a 10-hour course in a studio to learn the basics. Since then I constantly had an overload of sinews in my arms, but I was also garnix used =) That is fortunately better, and the whole thing is even more fun!
I will never be a professional in the field, but that does not matter. It's just a nice feeling and I enjoy being able to relax in peace and swing around the pole.
I'm also fond of running and now I'm going to share my best tips on choosing the right sport wear for your favourite activities.
Sports Bra & Running Shoes
The most important thing
I have some doubts about the purpose and the sence of some sportswear. But two pieces are essential when it comes to clothing: a good sports bra and matching running shoes!
It has happened to me again today - and you certainly know such situations too: When I went for a walk I was met by a runner. Or rather, her breasts met me: from left to right and up and down they were bouncing, about to tie in a knot ...
No, seriously, a sensible SPORT bra is essential for women who are running. And it does not matter what size she has! Even small breast moves up and down a few inches with each step! And the bigger the breast, the more movement takes place.
So here are my most important criteria for the purchase of a sports bra`s:
The material should be high quality, the seams should be well processed
It is important to choose the right exercise category - so choose the right bra depending on the type of sport or its intensity
The bra should sit well; not rub, scratch or cause an unpleasant feeling
Choose the right fit, it should not be too tight or even cut.
Second important point in terms of sportswear are the SHOES!
Remember, if you want to go running, invest in good running shoes! We only have these two feet and we should pay attention to them: running puts a considerable burden on our joints. And with every step! Good running shoes therefore act as shock absorbers. A running analysis is often offered even in sports shops, where then the appropriate shoes are determined for you.
Tips to buy running shoes
- Buy your running shoes in the late afternoon or early evening. During the day, your feet will stretch! The transverse vault sinks. In adults, they are about 4% bigger and extend by up to one centimeter.
- Take your old running shoes with you. The wear of the sole can give the sales staff important hints about your running style. For an experienced running shoe salesman, the old running shoe often shows more than the treadmill analysis.
- Try the new shoes with the running socks that you usually wear during training or competition.
- Buy your shoes big enough. In front of the big toes, there must be room for a thumb's breadth when standing. During the rolling motion of the runner your feet needed more space than when wearing normal sneakers. During a long run, the transverse arch sinks in and the well-hydrated feet need more space than when training on a short distance.
- Your new running shoe must be adjusted to your foot distance in the forefoot area. If the shoe is too wide, your foot will "float" in it, if it is too narrow, side bruises may be created.
- If you need to wear orthopedic insoles, of course you have the purchase.
- Make sure you have good hold in your running shoe, even with moderate lacing. If you have to tighten the laces too tight, this can lead to painful spots on the instep during longer runs or competitions!
- Before you buy, think about exactly what you need the new running shoes for. Do you mainly train on asphalt roads , forest roads, gravel roads? Do you mainly do long runs and need more support? Do you want to run short and fast units with it?
- If you do several training sessions a week, it makes sense to use more than one pair of shoes alternately. Basic rule: one pair of running shoes per week. Ideally not all from the same manufacturer. Your feet will thank you for the variety - and so will the shoes. The midsole will be able to recover, air well and dry.
I hope you enjoy your trainings! And what are your favorite sports?
