Simply Homemade: Aluminum And Alcohol-Free Deodorant

Оглавление

Hello, dear health-conscious person,

today I would like to present you a deodorant recipe, which you can do yourself!

What bothers me so much about the purchased aluminum-free deodorant is that it usually contains a lot of alcohol (of poor quality, which is not only bad for our skin). You can tell by the fact that alcohol is listed first to third on the INCI list. This leads to unpleasant burning, especially if I apply it after shaving ...

And natural deodorant can be very difficult to find, especially the one that works well. So, if you're a bit experimental, I invite you to try your homemade deodorant!

Therefore, this homemade variant =) Above all, it is always better if you know what is included in your products. Would you have thought that you need so few ingredients for a deodorant?

You will need:

  • 50 ml of sage water => hydrolate (or distilled water is also ok)
  • about 1 tsp cornstarch; also arrowroot flour or agar-agar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 tsp sage extract (optional)
  • about 5 drops of pure essential oil:  sage, bergamot, lavender sage, lime / lime or petitgrain lemon,
  • 1 empty deodorant scooter

Heat the water in a saucepan and stir in the cornflour. Bring it all to boil briefly - the consistency should be slightly syrupy. (Add more strength if needed)

Allow this mixture to cool (lukewarm!), Then stir in the soda until dissolved, add sage extract and essential oil and mix well.

Now all you have to do is add the mixture to the roll-on and your homemade deodorant is done.

Effect:

  • The cornstarch serves as a consistency regulator for thickening the mixture
  • The soda  has an antibacterial effect
  • I add sage to add a drying effect
  • The indicated essential oils are especially suitable for deodorants; they have an antibacterial or drying effect and serve as a fragrance component

I had already done a roll-on and a spray myself, but they did not work that well for me. This recipe fits better. However, you must be aware that with a deodorant that does not contain aluminum chloride, you will probably sweat more, since it is exactly this substance that makes it an antiperspirant. It closes the skin pores so that less sweat can escape.

There is also the possibility to make a deodorant cream yourself. For this you use coconut oil instead of the liquid from the above mentioned ingredients  . The coconut oil also has an antibacterial effect. But you have to like it, then spread the cream in your armpits with your fingers. Or you fill the whole thing in an empty tube container,

then you could just push it out - you see, your imagination knows no bounds;)

What else you can do against heavy sweating

With heavy sweating caused by stress and anxiety, relaxation techniques such as autogenic training or yoga  can result in more rest and reduced perspiration. More serenity in everyday life automatically leads to less (fear) sweat.

In addition, you can take the following actions:

  • Wear airy clothing made from natural fibers to prevent heat build-up.
  • Shave your armpits to prevent sweat odor. Hairless pits multiply far fewer microorganisms.
  • Regular alternating showers and saunas as well as sports lead in the course of time to a generally reduced formation of perspiration.
  • Avoid coffee, black tea, cigarettes , garlic and spicy spices that increase perspiration. Even tea with lime and elder flowers promote sweating.

Don't forget that sweating is normal. Not to sweat would be quite unnatural.

This attitude is much better, instead of letting it stir inward, which would only lead to more sweating.

Note: In case of heavy sweating without apparent cause, it is recommended to consult a doctor, because an increased sweat production can also be an indication of a serious illness.

Sweating is a healthy reaction of the body to heat, physical exertion, and arousal states such as anxiety and stress to cool the body. Of course, heavy sweating can bother you beyond the gym or sports field. Moist stains in the clothes and beads of sweat on the forehead look unattractive, and the typical sour smell is unkempt.

Aluminum-containing deodorant is not necessary, because natural home remedies such as sage, soda and apple cider vinegar help against excessive sweating and sweat odor.

To master the job interview, a meeting with clients or even a rendezvous, without getting too sweaty, you do not have to resort to harmful deodorants with antiperspirant aluminum salts.

Now you can use natural remedies to reduce perspiration and prevent odors.

Have fun with your deodorant experiment! Maybe you already have your own deodorant self-test experience and would like to share it with me?

All the Best!
