Normcore Style - Why is This the most Important Trend?

6 years ago, I defined the basic concept of services for clients - dressing them for life, freeing them from far-fetched images, overcharging and obsolete clothes. Without surgery - gently, respecting the comfort zone of the client. All changes are gradual, and therefore habitual. Over the years of practice, I have received confirmation of my thoughts - people don’t like to stand out and attract too much attention to clothing. They do not have such a need, if the situation does not require it. But everyone wants to have clothes in which it is convenient to go to work, solve daily affairs and feel confident. And I do not welcome when, after working with a stylist, the client looks too bright, unusual, very spectacular and overly fashionable. I would admit it as bad work and "flirting in style." Clothing is able to interrupt a person, speaking in the foreground. Whereas its true purpose is to be a profitable background and create a beautiful silhouette. WHAT HAPPENS If we talk about

WHAT HAPPENS

If we talk about how modern society is developing (without looking at facebook, of course), now we are in conditions that contribute to our isolation from each other. We have too many things to do, social networks and mobility - which inevitably alienates from live communication. But, everyone seeks to show more individuality, being mistaken that he really succeeds.

Look - people drive the same cars, go to the same places, go to rest at the same resorts, dress in the same shops. In their desire to stand out, to become unique - people lose it, because they become not free and very confused. Every day I see uniquely recharged women with bright makeup, a carefully styled hairstyle, a cascading haircut and a beautiful manicure (with a picture \ strasik \ jacket). They prefer to walk in high heels every day, fit their bodies in knitwear, wear many accessories and pick up shoes to a color-to-color purse. They dream of shopping abroad, littering their closet with unnecessary things. They study video tutorials "How to tie scarves and stoles beautifully," and they consider jeans to be exclusively a sporty style.

I like how modern fashion is developing. It has long been a fait accomplice that the world is embracing the mass market, which has defeated high fashion. And the appearance of H&M at Paris Fashion Week is yet another confirmation of this. Everything goes to universality, unisex and depersonalization. But, for the sake of unification.

NORMCORE STYLE - WHAT IS IT?

Normcore is more a new way of thinking that is already popular among young people. Educated people from big cities who grew up in the era of the cult of individualism (which manifested itself in the desire to stand out from the crowd) realized that the desire to be different, stand out with the help of clothes leads to loneliness and isolation. Previously, people were part of the community and tried their best to find their personality. Today they need to find their communities to be together. Adherents of the normcore want to find like-minded people and learn to understand the people around. Most importantly, they dream of being stopped by clothes. This provokes the desire to "not stand out" and manifests itself in appearance.

People prefer not to look for originality in clothes, but to look like everyone else, while feeling comfortable and comfortable. The sociopsychological prerequisites of the rapidly becoming popular movement are understandable and even obvious. Tired of the colorful swirl of leopard skirts, platform shoes, architectural cuts and intricate prints. I do not like that the inability to distinguish moccasins from loafers may seem shameful to someone.

"Normcore" is a modern trend in fashion of both sexes (unisex), characterized by the choice of lowly clothes, the desire to look "usually", "like everyone else", not stand out. Normcore is characterized as a reaction to a glut of fashion, and too fast changing fashion trends. They also note that the normcore is a return of the 1990s “anti-fashion” trends characteristic of the grunge style. Some critics note the normcore’s goal as “stop collecting in small groups and establish contact between all the people on the planet.

Trend in choosing clothes It is characterized by the desire to look “usually”, this does not mean that people who choose this style are not fashionable, who prefer to wear something that fits their arm, but that they consciously choose clothes that are unremarkable. Often, to emphasize prestige, clothing can contain a clearly visible label. Some, on the contrary, prefer clothes without brands and labels. Normcore includes items of everyday clothing, such as T-shirts, hoodies (hoodies), turtlenecks and windbreakers, classic jeans, sneakers, etc.

NORMCORE STYLE ELEMENTS

Normcore style means openly" normal "clothes and shoes in which you can go to the store for groceries or for a walk with a dog. This is a silent refusal from the game “Whose image is cooler?”. The Normcore style suggests that for a full life, a white T-shirt, a gray sweater, a pair of jeans and a pair of inconspicuous boots or sneakers are enough for us. Steve Jobs is a typical representative of the Normcore style. And we all remember that it was he who created the universal product for everyone, uniting the world under the sign of Apple. It is even clear now why he was so attuned to clothing and his style - inner freedom from patterns, standards. Protest against the existing, for the sake of the future.

Normcore strives to make his bearer a representative of the crowd, that is, "like everyone else." To make it difficult to determine who you are and what you do - a student, sales manager or guitarist of a famous band? The idea of style is a complexly styled set of simple inconspicuous things. It should be free and comfortable. This style lacks prestige, status, position, bank account size and elegance. On the contrary, absolutely any person of both sexes can afford the normcore style with any budget for clothes (or even its absence).

Normcore has already actively (albeit partially) entered our lives. Overcharging and excessive brightness are irrelevant, and the style is no longer determined by the tag / brand or the brought item from Milan. The world lives by other laws, and it’s very interesting to change your habits at least sometimes. Allow yourself not to make an impression of “Wow”, get rid of the idea of excessiveness and just be light with yourself. Sometimes it is available with the help of clothes.
