"Ingrid, what does the 'female way' actually mean?"I was asked only recently by a dear friend. Well, of course, I can only explain the female way as I understand and feel it. But in order to better answer the question, I would like to use the YIN YANG symbolism[1] to show which three types of femininity are mainly lived by US women:
THE "MORE YANG THAN YIN"-WOMEN
Every woman carries in addition to their female energies, and to some extent also male in the same way as men and a female share of the carry. But in the last decades (probably even centuries) we have trained women so many male qualities and qualities. taken over by our patriarchal society that we are no longer aware of the fact that we live much more male YANG energy (shown in mint green in my illustration) than we actually do well.
And so we will probably still be busy for a while, to reduce our male YANG share back to a natural level, to give our YIN share (in the illustration in pink) again more space.
THE "YIN-YIN"-WOMEN
The elegantly dressed doll and helpless gestures of females, which can not cope without a man's own life, there are surprisingly still. You'd rather go into male dependence than take responsibility for yourself. They serve as a decorative accessory of your men and define themselves and their personality on the social Position and the height of their Bank accounts. Therefore, the male YANG proportion of these women is hardly present and shrunk to an unnatural size.
THE "MORE-YIN-THAN-YANG"-WOMEN
The effect of re-awakening the feminine in our time that we share to give women our long repressed and only weakly pronounced YIN-finally back in the room, attention, and consciousness. We let ourselves be guided more by our female Intuition and love to be a woman consciously. However, the natural proportion of YANG may also be lived consciously, because femininity does not exclude YANG-stressed qualities, such as targeted action or logic.
Some women are afraid that they might lose their male qualities completely because they are focusing on their femininity. I cannot understand this fear at the best will. On The Contrary! In recent decades, we women have trained so much male energies and patterns of behavior that we are no longer aware of how much we are influenced by these male YANG energies.
THE FEMALE WAY
... is a conscious decision and development back to more YIN energy than it is currently being lived by US women. There is a need for a female awareness process and a reorientation that has its origin in the heart, so as not to run the risk of being all too YANG-shaped once again. [1] Yin and Yang are two concepts of Chinese philosophy and stand for polar opposite and yet interdependent forces or principles.
