Morning rituals

My life is rather erratic: we live in two countries (and our lifestyle is radically different in each of them), our schedule depends on the man's work changes, my own work, as a man jokes, is to "write books, delay legs, and then go to any beautiful cities to present them", the daughter does not go to the kindergarten, and the individual schedule at the university does not provide for a uniform distribution of load.

So sometimes I just get lost, I don't know what to grab, I worry, I get annoyed and forget how it is to increase joy. So these little rituals - in the morning, during the day, in the evening and at night (did I say our schedule is very strange).

Give some framing to our day, they are grounded and do not allow us to get lost in the fuss.

Recently, reading one of her favorite bloggers' thoughts about her morning rituals (actually, this recording inspired her to write down her own) at most of her points, I lifted my cocoa pot as a sign of "be!", nodded, or even tore: "Oh, sister ». I highly recommend reading Bethany's text, and I'll tell you about our mornings.

I almost never get up before the rest. But in the morning, Bohdan enthusiastically plays with a doll's house or a lair, or everything for the bunch (the heroes of the lodge and the lair reproduce our dialogues and adventures, oh, where are my napkins!), and I go to the kitchen, drink water and open the window.

Morning "charging" is something I've ignored all my life. Needless, of course. Now I understand it and try to get into the daily rhythm. Igor laughs that I do not charge and warm up in front of her, but rather so. It invigorates me, and the posture is getting a little better.

Of course, it would be more pleasant to come to an already clean kitchen. But this is not always the case - for various evening reasons. So, Danusy and I often go to cleaning (“Moms, can you help?” Sounds endless, so all the work has to be split in half; well, here it is a very figurative statement), we prepare breakfast and sit down to eat and drink cocoa.

I was once struck by how one lady shared the warmest memories of her childhood: she had never eaten alone. One of the relatives always made her company. There really is something really cool about this: sitting side by side, eating together, talking, laughing ... it's a daily date.

Next Danus asks for a cartoon, but I only turn it on when she removes her toys. In the process of cleaning, she most often enjoys playing, so the cartoon is delayed, and I have time for my own reading - no, not yet mail and no social networks.

As Bethany aptly said, it is important to hear your own voice before you see what others are doing. Focus on what matters most, feel the priorities, be filled with joy and confidence, protect the inner core from the "wrong on the Internet". Even Instagrams can turn from a source of inspiration to escapism, and I have repeatedly not noticed it (especially when it was necessary to run away from the mountain of unwashed dishes, unpainted linen or unspoken notes).

I drink water - which I also tend to forget about throughout the day.

Only then will my life (unless, of course, I have been tempted before) break into the flow of information from the Internet. In my case, it is very important to restrain him to a certain point. Although, as my husband likes to joke, I work from home, keeping my feet up, my job is not only to write books, drinking coffee and eating chocolate with nuts.

My work actually revolves around books, but - well, not the manuscripts are the only ones. All these long-book projects and the book preparation process itself take a long time. In particular, because my work is a large (or very large) number of letters. This is a large number of photos for processing. This is the preparation of the master's thesis and, accordingly, many books that need to be "shoveled".

And given that is constantly near - Danusya, it is also endless cooking, walking, games, reading books, cleaning and laundry.

Fortunately, my computer is a dummy. And here is a recollection of Loraley of Gilmore Girls, who explained to her mother: "We like the slow internet: we open the page, make coffee, make sandwiches ...". Well, while my computer is considering another operation, I fry pancakes, I wash the fridge, wipe the table, go to the shower and answer a hundred questions. The day has begun.
