Everybody knows that to make it easy for a child to learn something, he needs to be interested. If it is a foreign language, the sooner the better. But mathematics is not an exception.

Children are special creatures to carry them away, it is not necessary to carry the skills of adult life into their world. Don't think that in order to show the kids interesting mathematics, we have to sit them down at the table, stick notebooks, cards, give them tasks and then check if they have done everything they were told to do. It is possible to scare away the child at once, to make it clear that the world is built on obedience and orders and there is no room for creativity or imagination.

On the playground you can easily find a proud and happy grandmother, who, looking at all the kids in the sandbox or slide, declares: "Our grandmother already knows all the numbers up to 20. How about yours?"

Often it does not do any good, because knowing the sequence of words (even if numerals) and understand what they mean - two huge differences. But when a child is ready to count his own eyes - open and closed, his mother's and her own, bear and giraffe, as well as fingers gathered in the fist, then we will say that he understands the score. If we teach a child to count in body language - the most understandable one - then counting literally enters his life.

In general, if you look closely, the children's room with toys is a real university audience with a lot of devices. We can study the signs and sorting. And you know how? Playing and cleaning!

1. Sorting games and signs

Let's start with the scattered cubes. "Bring me the big red dice, please," you say, and then look carefully and discuss what the child will bring.

Small and large, blue and green, wooden and with letters - the sorting methods are as much as you have this building material.

So let's start sorting together. First of all, one thing is for sure: "Please bring in more and more cubes. And now all the small ones. All the red ones! All wooden! So all the cubes came together and went into the box.

The game can be complicated: to combine two features: red wooden, green plastic and so on. Looking for signs, finding similarities and differences is an important part of the mathematical understanding of the world.

2. Geometric games for cleaning

If you have small geometric details scattered, you can remove them by making up shapes.

"Let's put a house in the box! Fold, playing: a ship, a man, a house. The man sat down in the boat, came to the house. So all the details went into the box.

3. oral counting skills

Let's try to remove the scattered animals (soft toys), counting.

"Let's count how many animals we have? Let's put them in a box and count everyone. Then we will check how many animals are there? How many bears? And how many bears are there?

4. Let's fold our books by playing bookstore

Mom's a buyer, the kid's a salesman. The seller collects and shows the buyer all the books, putting them on the shelf. If the buyer wants to take the book to read aloud to the seller, the seller calls the price.

You can pay with paper coins.

5. And how much do we have left

We train to answer the question: How many more cubes are left?

"We see: how many is three or more? A few is how many? Is it not enough - is it two or 15? Tell me exactly, let's count. How many big details, how many small ones?"

Before we know it, the whole room is cleaned, fun and useful!
