Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said a crossover between Spider-Man and Venom could be in the pipeline, revealing in a recent interview it 'seems likely'.
Venom, which is part of the Sony Marvel Universe rather than the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), follows journalist Eddie Brock, who gains super powers after getting bound to a parasitic alien symbiote. The character of Venom was originally created as a nemesis for Spider-Man, having been first introduced as a character in a 1984 issue of the comic The Amazing Spider-Man. The last time we properly saw the two together in action and sharing the same screen was in 2007, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 , where the character was played by Topher Grace - although there was a brief Venom cameo in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
