After the critically acclaimed first season, Netflix has ordered a second instalment to Russian Doll. Star Natasha Lyonne revealed the big news at Recode's Code Conference, telling the crowd: "Same show, just weirder. The character is a coder so it would be appropriate to have this be the time and place to say, yes. So very much yes, I would love to do [a second season]." The Netflix original is centred on the main character, Nadiya - played by Lyonne - who dies repeatedly, only to wake up again and again in the same place - the bathroom at her own birthday party. The first season of the show Russian Doll stunned fans and received rave reviews, with the bizarre comedy scoring 100 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, which is usually a solid gold stamp of approval.
