This is the Neuschwanstein Castle in the South of Germany.
I was there with my mom and my sis while we were taking a tour around Austria and Southern Germany. When we got there it was already crowded with tourists but the beauty of the castle astonished us. They say that Walt Disney got inspired by this piece of art to make the Cinderella Castle, one of the most robust representations of a fairy tale.
But the thing that I remember most about that site was an Australia lady, around 55-60 years old. She was there just flabbergasted looking at the construction. She was standing right by my side and started telling me: “I have waited 40 years to see this castle. It was my dream”. It was the first time I was talking to that woman. I knew nothing about her life and the reasons, which delayed in 40 years her visit to Newuschwanstein, but I felt touched and above all, honoured to be her confident at that moment.
