New Year 😱 Again! They say that Chinese New Year last week was the last to be celebrated. The new year 4721 has begun in China. Well, I've checked and it seems that in June muslims will celebrate Islamic New Year. Now, it's the year 1446 in the Islamic tradition. The Hebrew calendar says it's now 5785, untill September. In Thailand, it's 2568. It turns out there are many different calendars and in half of the world, people use two calendars at the same time. There are also some interesting facts. For example, in Japan a new era begins every time a new emperor ascends the throne. Personally, I always ask myself: how do we know when exactly some events happened with all these different systems and changes. In Russia, we started using the Julian calendar only in 1700. And in 1918, the Gregorian calendar was introduced. #thoughts
