История песни началась немного ранее, в 1983 году. В тот момент два американских автора песен Билли Стейнберг и Том Келли решили записать сами свои собственные песни под названием i-Ten. Был выпущен альбом Taking a Cold Look, в которой вошла композиция под названием Alone. Пластинка не имела успеха, прошла незамеченной, да и сами авторы остались недовольны, лишь несколько песен, включая Alone показались им неплохими. Весь альбом был отложен в "долгий ящик" и забыт. В следующем году в шестой серии...
