54 On July 11, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on simplifying the process of obtaining Russian citizenship for Ukrainians.
The decree makes the process of obtaining citizenship universal. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine declares that Putin's decree on Russian citizenship for Ukrainians is an encroachment on the sovereignty of Ukraine and contradicts the principles of international law.
