54 On July 11, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on simplifying the process of obtaining Russian citizenship for Ukrainians.

The decree makes the process of obtaining citizenship universal. If Russian troops, added Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Presidential Council on Interethnic Relations, in an interview with 360, enter the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv or Odessa regions, any special documents will no longer be needed.

Any person who wants to obtain Russian citizenship simply needs to apply to the civil-military administration and issue it on the basis of the issued decree.

Those who have received Russian citizenship are free to do whatever they want, as free people. For the most part, they will try to settle in place.

"I think it is important for them to integrate their institutions and territories into the Russian Federation. Someone can go to higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, someone can join the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, someone can move to the territory of Russia in one of the regions. They receive the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation and can use them"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine declares that Putin's decree on Russian citizenship for Ukrainians is an encroachment on the sovereignty of Ukraine and contradicts the principles of international law.
