Russia has restricted the transit of oil from Kazakhstan to Europe.
.
The decision of the Russian court on July 6 was made after Kazakh President Tokayev proposed to the chairman of the European Council Charles Michel to send more oil to the EU.
The closure of the Novorossiysk terminal is a frequent phenomenon, and it was previously closed in June due to reports of the discovery of 50 bombs from the Great Patriotic War in the waters of the port. It was also closed in March due to damage sustained during the storm. Kazakhstan annually supplies 67 million tons of oil through Russia to Europe. During the three-week closure, the world market lost about a million barrels of oil, Western media estimated.
Despite the court-ordered termination of the oil transit of Kazakh oil to the west, according to Reuters insiders and three other media sources, oil continues to be exported from the terminal of the CPC operator today.
