65 The first sentence under the criminal article on fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
The Meshchansky District court sentenced municipal deputy Alexey Gorinov to 7 years in a general regime colony.
He was found guilty of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation using official position. He is also banned from holding positions in government for 4 years.
Gorinov, during a meeting of the Council of Deputies of the Krasnoselsky district, incorrectly called a special military operation, announced the death toll without reference to official sources and offered to honor their memory with a minute of silence. At the same time, as the prosecutor's office pointed out, Gorinov knew that the video would be posted on the YouTube channel of the Krasnoselsky municipal district.
