In Russia, certification of the Mi-171A3 helicopter in a version without foreign components has been completed. Rosaviatsia issued 7 approvals for design changes. The aircraft is now officially cleared for passenger and cargo transport, instrument flights in adverse weather, as well as takeoffs and landings at elevated sites. The helicopter was designed with a focus on offshore and shelf operations. It is intended for long flights away from shore and is equipped with safety systems for such conditions, including fuel system protection and rescue equipment. In case of an emergency, a forced landing on water is provided even with sea conditions up to 5 points. Testing was conducted in different modes: in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria, in winter conditions in Salekhard, and with landings on an offshore drilling platform in the Caspian Sea.
