A twofold increase in purchases has moved Russia into the top 10 importers of contact lenses from the United States

In February 2026, Russia increased its imports of contact lenses from the U.S. to $1.3 million, nearly doubling compared to February 2025 ($696,500). As a result, the country moved up from 16th to 10th place among the largest importers. The leading importers remain Japan (26.9%), Canada (20.5%), and Germany (9.9%), followed by the UK, China, South Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, and Mexico.
