The Great Misconception: “N-S” is not “minus-plus”, but inverse proportionality

Some scientific idiot with authority shouted that the polarities "N" and "S" are expressed by the minus and plus signs, that they are the same thing. And the stupid adherents picked up on this and, like parrots, repeat it over and over again.

Polar Polarities - “N” and “S”

Wherever you throw a stone, there are two poles. These are antonyms, these are the words "yes" and "no," these are left and right in politics, these are day and night on the planet, these are two poles in a magnet, these are two amplitudes in a wave.

Polarities are inversely proportional to each other. See the first figure.

Fig.1 . Yuri Yuzhny. "S" and "N" are inversely proportional.

The polarities are equal in value to each other, but asymmetrical.

"Minus-plus"

  • Let's look at Wikipedia.
  • Negative numbers are less than zero, and zero is less than any positive number. On the number line, negative numbers are located to the left of zero, and positive numbers are located to the right.

We often use this definition when we talk about “plus-minus”, that is, about a certain range of deficiency and excess relative to the nominal value. For example, the room temperature is 20°, plus or minus two degrees. This means two degrees above normal and two degrees below normal. It follows that the symbol "zero" expresses the nominal temperature value of twenty degrees. See the second figure.

Fig. 2. Yuri Yuzhny. "Minus-plus" is a deficiency and excess of the nominal value.
Fig. 2. Yuri Yuzhny. "Minus-plus" is a deficiency and excess of the nominal value.

The temperature deficiency number (minus sign) and the temperature excess number (plus sign) are equal in value, but the temperature numbers (potentials) they express are not equal in value.

How the polarities “N” and “S” became “minus-plus”

How the polarities “N” and “S” became “minus-plus”

Since ancient times, it has always been believed that the world is limited by extremes, and in the middle (in the center) lies the truth. Look at the first picture. In the middle is a balanced center – 50/50. It is in relation to this center, this truth, that deficiencies and excesses are measured, which are expressed by minus and plus signs. See the third figure. "Minus-plus" polarity "N" and "minus-plus" polarity "S".

And so we get the number line “minus-plus” that is so familiar to us all... But there are two of them!

Conclusion

Official physics does not see one polarity... It does not understand at all what polarities are!
